Mild winter weather hasn't been posing as many problems as was expected atBrookvale Provincial Ski Park this year.

Assistant park superintendent Erin Curley says there were more issues to deal with last year.

"Last year, we had a lot of closures with storms where roads were blocked and it's tough. You know, safety first. You can't be out whenever it's not safe to get to the hill," said Curley.

She says there haven't been as many closures this year because the province hasn't had as many snowfalls as last year.

During a mild winter like this one has been,Curley says staff work hard to preserve the snow that is in the park and add to it by making snow.

She adds snow making has been taking place this week.
