Nothing suspicious found after search and evacuation of cole Franois-Buote in Charlottetown

Nothing unusual or suspicious has been found after a search ofcoleFranois-Buote by Charlottetown Police afterstudents weresent home for the day.

The school was evacuated Wednesdaymorningand all students and staff are safe, said a statement from theFrench Language School Board.

School buses tookstudents where they are usually dropped off at 1:30 and parents who wished to get their children couldpick them up before that.

A bomb threat was received by RCMP in Ottawa by fax shortly after11 a.m. Wednesday said police in a statement.

Erring on side of caution

There have been no threats reported at any other Prince Edward Island schools today, said astatement from the FrenchLanguageSchoolBoard.

Thethreat wassimilar to the threats that were received in September when allP.E.I. schools were evacuated. While the police feltthe bomb threat wasunfounded, iterred on the side of caution and tookall reasonable steps to ensure the safety of students and staff said police in a release.
