Summerside police charge man with sexual assault and luring

Summerside police have charged a 48-year-old man from Summerside with sexual assault and luring a child with a communication device.

Sgt.Joe Peterssaidthe alleged incidents occurred between early November and mid-January.

Hesaidthe alleged victim is a girl under the age of 16 and the alleged communication device was a cell-phone.

Peters said police were notified by a parent.

Police saidthe man will appear in provincial court in late February to answer to the charges.
