There are nosuspects yet in the investigation into the tampering of potatoes from Linkletter Farms.

RCMP says it has completed interviews with employees, neighbours and others, but still dont know who may have pushed sewing needles into the potatoes.

Sgt. Leanne Butler says investigators are now going back over the interviews and examining recalled potatoes to look for new clues.

Well, the team is going through those interviews. And when they go through them they're very meticulous, she said. They'll go through to see if there's anything that stands out that should be followed up and they will do that.

Since the beginning of October, seven separate incidents have been reported where a sewing needle was found inside a potato. Those needles are now being examined.

The other avenue is, of course, we're waiting for the forensics to come back from the lab. That sometimes takes time and there are a number of potatoes to be tested, Butler said.

All of the potatoes originated from Linkletter Farms in Summerside.

RCMP is asking anyone with information about the potato tampering to get in touch with them or Crimestoppers
