Frustrated with vandalism on their property, a Charlottetown family has taken to social media for help.

Over the last few months, vandals have egged the homeand rummaged through cars belonging to the Stanley family in Hillsborough Park.

Rick Stanley installed security cameras but the problems didn't stop.

Stanley's cameras picked up video of two people swinging a baseball bat at something in his driveway on July 13.

Then, on Sunday, his wife Pauline's new car was splattered with yellow paint.

Stanley has posted some of the surveillance video and a photo to social media.

Charlottetown Police say they have interviewed three people in connection with the vandalism and have eliminated them as suspects. The investigation is continuing.

"Total shock, total shock," said Pauline Stanley.

"It's bad enough that a car's being vandalized or vandalizing people's homes, but we have an eight-year-old child here and he's terrified. He doesn't want his window up at night when he goes to bed. He wants everyone at home."

The Stanleys say they have no idea why this would happen to them over and over again.

There was some good news for the family however. Hillside Chevrolet saw the picture of the paint splattered car and cleaned it for free.
