New P.E.I. web series Lovely Witches Club launched
New episodes to be released each Monday on club's website
The first episodeof the web seriesLovely Witches Clubwas launched online Mondayalong with re-launch of its website and club.
The showsco-creators ReneeLapriseand Patti Larsen say their new paranormal series isabout a young filmmaker who's hired to make a documentary involving witches of Prince Edward Island.
"We're very excited about the entire project," said Larsen. "The LWC has been a passion of ours since we launched our first Witches Ball in 2009."
The women said theconceptgrew out of that initial idea which offered women a place tobeexpressive and enthusiastic creators.
"This chance to turn the brand into a web series gave us the opportunity to reach even more lovely witches," said Larson.
A new show will be released each Monday. Larsen and Laprise received funding from Telefilm Canada, the Talent Fund and Innovation PEI to create the web series.
The website has apay-what-you-wish format and offers a forum for sharing artwork, writing and other creative innovations among members.
