West Covehead lawnmower driver charged with impairment

A 54-year-old West Covehead, P.E.I. man was arrested for driving a ride-on lawnmower while impaired Thursdayevening, say RCMP.

RCMP received a report at about 4:45 p.m. from a resident that a man was driving a lawnmower around the province's north shore community.

Police say they located the man on Kilkenny Road where he was arrested after providing breath samples more than two and a half times the legal limit.

The man will appear in provincial court in December to answer the charges.
