P.E.I. filmmaker Fox Henderson is shooting the third and final chapter to his movie series, Bimbo Zombie Killers, a throwback to cheesy horror films of the 70s and 80s.

A group of zombies, or rather people dressed as zombies, lumbered and lurched their way through a wooded area near Charlottetown on Sunday.

The group was on site shooting the final chapter to Bimbo Zombie Killers.

The third installment in the Bimbo Zombie Killers series is called Moonshine of the Damned.

Fox Henderson is the man behind the gore.

"I think I just hadn't done a zombie movie and then the name Bimbo Zombie Killers came to me and I thought, "Perfect," he said.

Henderson said its important to have a bit of fun.

"Its a cheesy movie, its not supposed to be high art by any means. You know, making good movies is a lot of hard work and just takes a lot of time and moneywhich is why I don't make them. We make bad movies because it's easy and its actually fun," he said.

Henderson said his films are throwbacks to the cheesy horror films of the 70s and 80s.

Hes financing the film through the sale of zombie paraphernalia used in the film and with the help of a $4,500 P.E.I. Council of the Arts grant.

Heather Panton, one of the films actors, said fans won't be disappointed.

"There will be a lot of zombies, and a lot of prosthetics and a lot of gore," she said.

The third installment of the series flips the tables on the man-eating zombies.

"There's actually going to be something a whole lot worse that the zombies are actually scared of, out in the woods. It's going to be a thing called a Zombie Eater,"Henderson said.

Once completed, Moonshine of the Damned will premier on Hendersons website, just in time for Halloween.
