$25K reward extended in Tamra Keepness disappearance

As a grim anniversary approaches, the Regina Police Service is extending a $25,000 reward to help find out what happened to Tamra Jewel Keepness.

10th anniversary of day she vanished is July 5

As a grim anniversary approaches, the Regina Police Service is extending a $25,000 reward to help find out what happened to Tamra Jewel Keepness.

The five-year-old girl was last seen at her home on the 1800 block of Ottawa St. on July 5, 2004 and was discovered missing the next day.

What followed was the largest search of its kind in Regina's history, involving hundreds of police and volunteers.

More than 1,000 tips were received, but no trace of the little girl was ever found.

Every year, the Regina Police Service renews a $25,000 reward for information leading to the discovery of Tamra's whereabouts.

This year's extension was on the agenda of the Regina Board of Police Commissioners' meeting on Tuesday.

Police have assigned the investigation to their cold case unit.
They hope the reward will encourage people with information about the case to come forward.
