Accused murderer John Strang back in Regina court Friday

The man charged with killing his wife in the village of McLean earlier this month wasback in court Friday morning.

John Robert Strang, 48, has been charged with the first degree murder of his wife, Lisa Strang.

He briefly appeared by video in provincial court in Regina. He did not speak.

The Crown is still waiting for evidence from police.

John's elderly parents were in court today, as in his past appearances. They declined to comment.

Lisa, 47, wasfound dead in her home on Aug.1.RCMP immediately sought out John as a suspect.

She was the Saskatchewan Party's longtime financedirector.

John's next court date is Sept. 11.
