Andino Suns bring Latin flair to prairie music scene

Growing up as Chilean-Canadians on the prairies, Andy Davalos and Andres Palma longed for the traditional Andean music of their childhood.

So they did what most homesick kids do they started a band.

In 2015, the groupwas nominated for a WesternCanadian Music Awardfor World Recording of the year. This summer, they'll hit the stage at three festivals in the province.

You can catch them at The Ness Creek Music Festival, All Folk'd Up and The Gateway Festival in July.

They are currently putting the finishing touches on a new album they expect to release in the fall.
