Anti-gay and anti-abortion activist Bill Whatcott says he's left Canada perhaps for good.

A controversial pamphleteer and protest organizer for decades, Whatcott has been through the courts many times.

Now, in an open letter online, he has announced a recent move to the Philippines.

It's "for the foreseeable future," Whatcott said.

In December, Whatcott was found not guilty of mischief after refusing to leave the University of Regina, where he was distributing anti-gay literature.
