Car show enthusiasts revved up for Show 'n Shine

Hundreds of car enthusiasts attended the annual Show 'n Shine car show in Regina.

Event shows off classic and muscle cars from the past

It wasn't "put the top down" weather, but that didn't stop hundreds of car enthusiasts from attending the annual Show 'n Shine car show in Regina.

It was held at the Access Communications parking lot and sponsored by the Collectors Car Club of Saskatchewan.

Ken Hollowaybrought his restored 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner, which includes a car horn mimicking the cartoon characterRoadrunner.

Holloway said he's always been a car guy.

"Well guys, most guys are always car nuts. Right from a little kid you always played cars and that's how I was."

Glen Perchieproudly brought his red1960 MGA sports car.

Perchie saidthe vehicle evokes childhood memories.

"I think for some people, it's the cars they had when they were growing up. We had a lot of British cars. My Dad liked to restore them. So I guess it kinda rubbed off on me."

The Show 'n Shine car show was also a charity event.

Those who attended were asked to donate a non-perishable food item for the Regina Food Bank.
