Cat and dog found shot with arrows

The Regina Humane Society is asking for the public's help to find whoever is responsible for arrow attacks on a dog and a cat.

The Regina Humane Society is asking for the public's help to find whoever is responsible for arrow attacks on a dog and a cat.

Animal protection officers responded to a call from White City on April 29 after a cat was found with arrow wounds to its head and neck.

A similar call came in May 1 from the Pilot Butte area after a dog was found that had been shot with an arrow.

Both animals were alive when they were found, but could not be saved due to the severity of their injuries, the Humane Society said.

It is now asking for the public's help "finding the person or persons responsible for these crimes against animals," according to a news release.

Anyone with information is asked to call animal protection services at 777-7700.
