Her experience working on a morning show and managing the early-morning wake-ups required for the job make her a natural fit as the new host of Saskatoon Morning.

Massicottesays her passion for broadcasting comes from its ability to give voices to people who don't always have a platform.

"They have the stories, they have these amazing things to tell. They just need the platform and we're kind of just that sounding board," she said.

Meet Stephanie Massicotte, the new host of Saskatoon Morning. CBC Saskatchewan's Sam Maciag asks her the burning questions like yay or nay on cilantro, dogs or cats and is she a Swiftie?

Paul Dornstauder, CBC Saskatchewan's managing editor, says Massicotte will bring the audiencestories of people who shape Saskatoon and the efforts to build the skyline of the city for decades to come.

"She will do it all in a way that matters to you," Dornstauder said.

Saskatoon Morningcan be heard on weekdays from 6-8a.m. CST on CBC Radio One in Saskatoon on 94.1 FM. It's also available live online and on-demand on the CBC Listen app.

Afternoon Edition is now The 306

Peter Mills is the new host of CBC Saskatchewan's long-running afternoon radio show, which is now namedThe 306.

The show, previously known as The Afternoon Edition, will retain its focus on Saskatchewan and brings Mills's natural curiosity to the province's new culture, growing cities, and the experience of winding down your workday and starting your evening.

In the summers during his years at journalism school, Mills said, he'd spend every day listening to The Afternoon Edition. He even got to work alongside previous hostGarth Materiebefore he retired last year.

"It's an absolute dream come true and I'm honestly just humbled to have the opportunity," said Mills.

He says the show's new name, The 306, comes from the province's area code. Unlikeother provinces, Saskatchewan doesn'thave regional area codes.

"The thing I loved about the name is it's that not-so-secret code that connects us all," Mills said.

He hopes the show will attract the attention of the province's increasingly younger, more urban demographic.

The 306can be heard Monday to Fridayfrom 4-6p.m. on CBC Radio One, on 102.5 FM (Regina), 94.1 FM (Saskatoon) or 540 AM across the province. It's also available live online and on-demand on the CBC Listen app.
