The City of Regina wants residents to give their thoughts on revitalization plans for the Canadian Pacific Railwayyards north of downtown.

The city has narrowed it down to three development conceptsall ofwhich include ideas for retail space,a pedestrian walkway and park space.

Kelly Scherr, thedirector of major projects for the city, says many residents want better access from the Dewdney Avenue Warehouse district to downtown.

"They like the idea of improved connections to downtown, the pedestrian bridge over the tracks, improvements to some of the underpasses on Broad and Albert Street," Scherr said.

"[They] also like the idea of public space of a park or something else to serve the Warehouse district."

The seven-hectaresite is expected to be home to commercial and residential developments. The city says whatever concept is chosen, it will be a 10- to 15-year project.

This design would feature a multi-purpose public market building with two parks.

It would also include mixed-use buildings with shops, restaurants and a grocery store.

The concept is designed as a retail destination, with a walkable outdoor shopping area. It would still have a central public market building.

Also included a cinema, hotel, residential dwellings and office space.

Concept C

This musical concept features a modern concert hall or theatre and spaces like a library, community centre or college.

A park or square for outdoor events would be framed by a hotel, residential and office space and restaurants.
