The 19-year-old Regina man charged with drunk driving causing death made his second court appearance this morning, via video conference.

Colby Heid is accused in the death ofTanner Kaufmann, 37.

Heid is alleged to have collided with Kaufmann's truck on a rural road north of Regina on Sunday afternoon.

The court heard that the Crown and defence are discussing the terms of Heid's possible release on bail.

But Kaufmann's long-time friend David Limacher says he and Kaufmann's family are opposed to Heid beingreleased on bail.

"We understand how the judicial process goes, but given the seriousness of the charge we don't have any comfort in his release," said Limacher. "That you could be charged with an offence that like this and walk free after is kind of a shockto the gut."

Heid is scheduled to appear in court again Thursday morning, again via video conference.
