The annual Regina International Film Festival and Awards (RIFFA) event is returning for the ninth time from Aug. 20 to 30.

The festival has selected 112 films to take part in this event, with a focus on gender and cultural diversity, as well as highlighting works produced in 27 different languages.

From Aug. 25 to 30, RIFFAprovides a virtual screening opportunity for those interested in watching some of the films from the comfort of their own home. This exclusive virtual event is accessed by ticket only, and tickets can be purchased from riffa.ca.

The event features more than just films. Throughout the week, various educational and networking opportunities will be available. More information on all the programming offered can be found on thewebsite.

RIFFA aims to celebrate cultural diversity, through film. It works closely with various organizations such as LOOK, a mental health initiative, and builds its own programs such as RIFFA Academy, and RIFFA Virtual Gateway Program.

CBC is proud to be a sponsor of this great local event.
