Costco lovers of Reginarejoice. A long-rumoured secondstore in the city appears to be in the works.

According to a development application filed to the City of Regina, the new location would be located on the west end of the city, next to the Westerra neighbourhoodat 8701 Dewdney Ave.

The documents provide some details on the planned development, including the proposed location. The store would be more than 14,000 square metres and also have a Costco gas station.

There's no clear timeline for when it might be built. The application is still being reviewed.

Since the proposal is for land near an existing urban centre and it includes a gas station, it is subject to a discretionary use process. That means the fate of the development could eventually be decided by city council.
