Crash north of Saskatoon kills woman

One woman has died in a two-vehicle collision north of Saskatoon on Sunday morning

One woman has died in a two-vehicle collision north of Saskatoon on Sunday morning.

Emergency crews from Saskatoon and Warman were called at about 11:15 a.m. CST to the crash, which involved a -ton truck and a minivan on Highway 11 and Wanuskewin Road.

According to police, the minivan was traveling westbound from Wanuskewin Road across the intersection of Highway 11 when it was struck by the southbound truck.

Three people were inside the minivan at the time of the crash.

A 34-year-old woman was thrown from the van and was pronounced dead at the scene,RCMP said.

Rescue crews used hydraulic rescue tools to extract a 49-year-old male and a 42-year-old female from the minivan. The two were transported to hospital.

The driver of the truck, a 38-year-old male, was able to get out of the vehicle unassisted, fire officials said. He was also taken to hospital.

The RCMP is investigating the crash.
