Duran Redwood, 26, charged with 2nd degree murder of Celeste Yawney

Regina police have charged a 26-year-old man with the death of Celeste Yawney.

Officers were called to a home on Ingersoll Crescent in Regina's Rosemontneighbourhood around 8:30 a.m. CST Sunday morning.

When they arrived they found the body of the woman inside andpolice immediately labeled the death as suspicious.

On Monday morning, second degree murder charges were laid against Duran Justin Redwood, 26.

He will appear in court Monday afternoon.

Yawney is the city's fourth homicide of the year.
