SteveO'Shaughnessy, who is believedto have killed himself in Prince Albert, has been identified as the allegedkiller.

Here's the statement his family released Thursday:

We are shocked and deeply saddened by the recent tragic events in Tisdale and Prince Albert.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims' family and friends.

There are no words to express how terrible we feel for the loss of life and ensuing grief.

Steven had no history of violence. However, he had ongoing struggles with mental health issues.

The Gosling family does not deserve this.

We will likely never know why this senseless act occurred.

At this time, more than ever, we are turning toward the support and love of family and friends to begin the healing process.
