Helium plant setting up in Saskatchewan

For the first time in close to half a century, helium will be processed in Saskatchewan.

Helium is used in balloons, but also in MRI machines.

For the first time in close to half a century,helium will be processed in Saskatchewan.

In April,Weil Group Resources will be opening up a facility near Mankotato process the gas.

The community isclose to the U.S. border, about 270 kilometressouthwest of Regina.

The provincial governmentsays the company found several wells with helium.

It means 20 jobs

Aside from balloons, helium is used primarily for MRIs.
