Regina police seek witnesses to hit and run that injured senior on a scooter

Regina police are looking for witnesses to a hit and run that injured a senior citizen on a mobility scooter. Investigators arehoping to speak with people who saw the crash and can identify the suspect vehicle.

Regina police are looking for witnesses to a hit and run that injured a senior citizen on a mobility scooter.

The collision happenedaround 1:30 p.m. Fridayon Broad Street at the underpass between DewdneyAvenue and Saskatchewan Drive. Police say an unknown vehicle rear-ended a mobility scooter in the southbound lane of Broad Streetand fled the scene.

Investigators arehoping to speak with people who saw the crashand can identify the suspect vehicle.

The collision pushed an 81-year-old woman using the scooter into a concrete wall. Apasserby found her on the ground and called police for help.

EMS took the woman to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

There is no description of the suspect vehicle.
