How it happened: Regina council OKs stadium

On Monday, Jan. 28, Regina City Council approved the concept design and financing for the $278 million facility that will replace Mosaic Stadium as the home of the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

On Monday, Jan. 28, Regina City Council approved the concept design and financing for the $278 million facility that will replace Mosaic Stadium as the home of the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Numerous groups, both pro and con appeared at the meeting to have their say. When the smoke had cleared, the deal was approved by a 10-1 vote.
