John Strang charged in Regina court with murder of wife Lisa

The man accused of killing his wife, Lisa Strang, has appeared in Regina provincial court Thursday, charged with first-degree murder.

The man accused of killing his wife, Lisa Strang, hasappeared in Regina provincial court, charged with first-degree murder.

John RobertStrang, 48, remained in custody following the brief appearance whereit was also noted he was also charged with uttering a death threatto another person.

Strang said he has a lawyer and the case was adjourned to Friday. As he was escorted from the prisoner's area Strangnodded to an older couple his parents who were in court for the appearance. They did not speak to media.

Strang has been in custody since he was arrested and charged.

The body ofLisa Strang, a longtime finance director with the Saskatchewan Party,was found in her home in the village ofMcLeanon Saturday.

Police haven't said anything about the cause of death.

McLeanis appoximately 40 kilometres east of Regina.
