Jurassic Park fan recreates truck from the famous film

A Regina fan of the Jurassic Park films has repainted a 1993 Ford Explorer to replicate the vehicle used in the movies.

Burke Wood has enjoyed the films since the first ones were released 20 years ago.

Wood spent a weekend spray painting and adding decals for the project, which he calls his dream car.

"The fact that I am of age to drive now and I can drive my favourite movie car, that's an awesome feeling in the morning," Wood said. "A lot of people just get into some ordinary car. Life's too short to drive boring vehicles."

He added that the distinctive car attracts its share of attention.

"She's bright yellow, bright green. Jurassic Park right on the side. It's hard to miss," he said.

He said he grew up as a fan of the movie and collected all sorts of Jurassic Park toys, many of them gifts, as a child.
