Kara Golemba's sound stands at crossroads of folk, country and Americana

From Kelowna B.C. to Indian Head, Sask., Kara Golemba's sound is as eclectic as a mason jar full of memories.

Kara Golemba's sound standsat the crossroads of folk, country andAmericana.

The singer-songwriter's prairie heritage called on her to pick up fromfrom Kelowna, B.C. andsettle in Indian Head, Sask.

Currently, she is putting the finishing touches on her debut EP. It wasrecorded just down the hall from the home of CBC Radio's The Morning Edition,in Studio One and produced byJason Plumb.

Since arriving in Saskatchewan,Golemba has been turning heads with her eclectic sound. She is the recent winner of the 620 CKRM Proudly Saskatchewan showcase and the Spirit of Saskatchewan songwriting award, for "Mason Jar Of Memories."

It is also one of the songs she performed for our Empty Room Series.

You can catch her this summer at All Folk'd Up in Montmartre,Craven Country Jamboree and The Gateway Music Festival inBengough, Sask.
