Students at LeBoldus High School in Regina, some of whom are eligible to vote, heard from three candidates in the federal election Thursday.

Politicians from the Liberal Party, NDP and Green Party presented their platforms to students.

"It is more interesting once you do understand it," Jake Egarhos, a Grade 12 student at LeBoldus, said. "By beginning to understand, and making that little effort, then it's more engaging."

He added he thinks its important people get involved in the political process.

"If you don't vote, you don't really have the right to complain about what's going on in the world because you didn't put your argument forward, you didn't really put your voice forward," he said.

Election day is Oct. 19.
