Man charged in Regina Halloween night shooting

Regina police have charged a 21-year-old Regina man with second-degree after a teen was shot and killed a party early Friday morning.

Regina police have charged a 21-year-old Regina man with second-degree murder in after a teen was shot and killed at a party early Friday morning.

Police were called to home in the 500 block of Montreal Street after receiving reports of a fight in a backyard that spilled onto the street at about 1:30 a.m. CST.

Nolen Boyd Tanner, 18, was found shot to death.

A neighbour, Gloria Van Den Akker, told CBC News she heard the fighting, followed by at least five gunshots.

Police said the man had been at a house party on the street.

The accused is scheduled to make his first court appearance on Monday.

The incident is Regina's ninth homicide of 2013.
