Regina police looking for witnesses after pedestrian struck in hit and run

Police in Regina are asking for the public's assistance in locating a driver involved in a hit and run that sent a pedestrian to hospital on Friday afternoon.

Police in Regina are asking for the public's help in finding a driver involved in a hit and run that sent a pedestrian to hospital on Friday afternoon.

Police received a report that a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle at Victoria Avenue and Atkinson Street at around 4:20 p.m on Friday, the Regina Police Service said in a news release.

Emergency medial services tookthe man to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators say the victim was struck by a dark sedan, which then fledeastbound on Victoria Avenue.

The police service is now asking any witnesses, or anyone with security camera footage ordashboard camera footage, to contact investigators atat 306-777-6500, orcall Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
