"Man Up Against Violence" is coming to the University of Regina today with a series of events planned throughout the week.

The student-led project is designed to bring more attention to the prevalent of violence in Saskatchewan society, with a focus on violence against women and the role men can play to stop it.

Mark Kleisinger is the vice-chair of the campaign.

"If it's a man who's perpetrating violence against a woman, then it's our responsibility to be there to change the attitude, change the way in which we deal with our relationships, or an instant where we're feeling like we have to be violent," Kleisinger said.

The project begins Monday with a social event from 1:30-3:30 sponsored by the Kinesiology and Health Studies Students Society in room CKHS 166 (kinesiology building).

There will also be panel discussions, movies, and other events throughout the week.

Here's a list of the activities for the week.
