A breeding bull named 'Houdini' is one of the stars of Agribition.

The Canadian Western Agribition is underway in Regina and includes many exhibitors showing off some exceptional animals. A bull from Gull Lake, Sask., named Houdini is one example.

"His name is Houdini because when he was young he had a habit of escaping the pen, so the kids named him Houdini," Dave Dennis, who is preparing animals for the show, explained.

Houdini weighs 2,050 pounds, but he is a calm animal.

"He's a big puppy dog," Dennis said. "You could do anything with this bull, he's very gentle."

Dennis noted that Agribition is one of the premier cattle shows in North America.

"This one here is very prestigious," he said. "It's a gathering place of the best genetics in Canada."

Depending on what buyers are looking for, Dennis estimated Houdini could attract a sale price of $20,000 to $30,000 assuming he doesn't escape.
