Meth, heroin, guns found in stolen truck in Regina

A Regina man is facing dozens of charges after police found him slumped over the steering wheel of a pickup truck and then found all kinds of drugs and weapons.

A Regina man is facing dozens of charges after police found him slumped over the steering wheel ofa pickup truckand then found all kinds of drugs and weapons.

Officers initially responded at 6:30 a.m. CST Monday to a report of a sick or injured man in a truck on 100 block of McCaul Cr.

That's in the Coronation Park neighbourhood in the north end of the city.

An ambulance took the 34-year-oldto hospital for suspected drug intoxication. When police ran the licence plate, it came back stolen.

They then searched the truck and found numerous stolen items as well ascrystal meth, heroin, brass knuckles, bear spray, and two long-barrelled firearms.

The man was also wanted on warrants.

When he made his first appearance before a judge he was facing a total of 36 charges.
