Missing teen may be lost in bush

The family of a missing 17-year-old is concerned the youth may have lost his way in the bush after encountering a washed-out roadwhile making his way, on foot, to ahouse a week ago.

Cody Ridge Wolfe was last seen Apr. 29 on the Muskowekwan First Nation, a reserve community about 130 kilometres north of Regina.

He was at his grandmother's house and left to go to another home about eight kilometres away.

"They're very worried. Very concerned," Myrna Laplante, Wolfe's aunt, told CBC News. "Very worried about him and being away for that length of time."

Community members have been combing the area on foot andall-terrain vehicles, in carsand on horses trying to locate the youth.

"We have a tracker from northern Saskatchewan that is helping us," Alvin Campeau, who is coordinating the community's search effort, told CBC News Friday. "So we've got a lot of expertise amongst our own people. We've got people that can track and see whatever has been disturbed."

Police are also involved in the search and have sent in special tracking dogs.
