NewLeaf announces 2 destinations from Saskatoon, 1 from Regina

A new low-cost airline is adding flights out of Saskatchewan, but it appears Saskatoon travellers will have more options compared to those in Regina.

A new low-cost airline is adding flights out of Saskatchewan, but it appears Saskatoon travellers will have more options compared to those in Regina.

Saskatoon and Regina areamong 12 cities that will be getting service from the low-cost airline NewLeaf, the company announced Thursday.

Saskatoon flights to Hamilton, Ont. and Kelowna,B.C. begin July 27.

Meanwhile, Regina flights to Kelowna, B.C., begin July 28 and will run twice a week.

One-way flights to Kelowna are as low as $89 (plus fees and taxes).

Someone flying from Regina to Kelowna on July 28 and returning on July 31would pay a total of $216.18, according to the NewLeafwebsite.

The Winnipeg-based airline ran into regulatory issues shortly after it launched in January, which forced a lengthy delay.
