The upstart air service NewLeaf is, effective in November, suspending flights into and out of Regina and Saskatoon.

The move will not affect any passengers as no tickets had been offered for flights after November 1.

The company said it is putting service on hold while it reviews consumer demand. Kamloops, BC, and Victoria, BC, were also put into a holding pattern.

A NewLeaf official said other flights will continue as the company works to establish a core set of routes.

"We will be going back in," Julie Rempel, a spokeswoman for NewLeaf said Friday. She added that they are anticipating putting additional aircraft into service soon, which will help them devise a new schedule.

The airline hopes to resume flights to and from all 4 suspended cities in mid-December.

NewLeaf began scheduled service in the summer with flights into and out of 11 cities.
