No bail for accused in Hannah Leflar murder

One of the young men accused of killing Regina student Hannah Leflar is returning to remand after an appearance in provincial court Tuesday.

One of the youngmenaccused of killing Regina student Hannah Leflar is returning to remand after an appearance in provincial court Tuesday.

The hearing resumedtoday after court heard three hours of evidence in May for the accused's attempt to obtain bail.

The youth,who was 16 at the time of Leflar's death, cannot be named due to his age and restrictions in the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

The evidence is also subject to a publication ban, along with the identity of thesecond male youth accused of first degree murder in Leflar's death.

The second boy has apreliminary bail hearing set for November of this year.

Leflar's family started a petition on May 7 against bail being granted to either of the two accused. The petition currently has more than 10,500 signatures.

Leflar's body wasdiscovered on Jan. 12, 2015at a residenceon the 400 block of Garnet St. N. in the Coronation Park neighbourhood. She was a grade 11 student at Thom Collegiate at the time of her death.

The two accused were charged with first degree murder on Jan. 14.
