What's open and what's closed on Remembrance Day in Regina

Find out which services in Regina are available on Nov. 11.

All civic offices are closed, garbage will be collected up as usual

With Nov. 11 being Remembrance Day, many civic and business services are closed or operating on reduced hours.

Here are some of the things you need to know:

  • All civic offices, including City Hall, are closed.
  • The Regina landfill is open from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. CST.
  • Garbage will be picked up as regularly scheduled.
  • Recycling will also be picked up as usual.

Transportation

  • Regina Transit will be operating on itsSunday routes and schedules. Find more here.
  • The transit information centre and RideLineareclosed.
  • Paratransit service will be provided to and from Remembrance Day Ceremonies in the morning. It will then operateon a holiday schedule from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • You do not have to pay at city parking meters.

Recreation facilities

  • North West Leisure Centre will be open from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Sandra Schmirler Leisure Centre will be open from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Regina Sportplex (Fieldhouse and Lawson Aquatic Centre) will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Public skating at the Al Ritchie Ice Arena will be open 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Neil Balkwill Civic Arts Centre/Art Gallery of Regina will be closed.
  • Neighbourhood Centres will be closed, but some are available for bookings.
