Positivity and passion abound at Queen City Marathon

There are few events that provide more positivity than the Queen City Marathon.

Whether you're going for gold, running for fun, or watching from the sidelines, there are few events that provide more positivity than the Queen City Marathon.

On Saturday, the mini-marathons for kids was held to start of the event. Runners from three to 14 years old took part in races of varying distances:

Jodi Enns had three boys in the races.

"I have one running for a medal, I have one running to win, and I have one running for snacks at the end," Enns said, laughing.

Mayan Pattison, 9, ran a three-kilometre race with a concrete strategy.

"I start off going fast, then I slow down, then slowly get faster," Pattison said.

On Sunday, the adults hit the pavement for the longer and, in some case, more competitive runs.
