Rams-Huskies game will have record crowd at new Mosaic Stadium

The first football game to be held at the brand new Mosaic Stadium is a sellout as far as single tickets go.

As of Friday, the only way to see the Oct. 1 game is to buy $80 packages that cover other games. And only a small number of those "flex" packages are left.

As a result, the "fall classic" game between the University of Regina Rams and the Saskatchewan Huskies will have some 16,000 fans in attendance, shattering the old record for a Canada West game by about 6,000 people.

The game is considered to be a trial run for the $286-million stadium, designed to test how everything washrooms, public address systems, elevators, parking, and security is working.

The stadium will be the new home for the Canadian Football League's Saskatchewan Roughriders starting in the 2017 season.
