A baseball group says the City of Regina has dropped the ball with a highway bypass that is forcing it to close its ballpark.

A baseball group says the City of Regina has dropped the ball with a highway bypass that is forcing it to close its ballpark.
Pacers Baseball Inc. says in 2016, it will lose its facility southeast of the city off Arcola Avenue next yearto make way for the southeast bypass.
However, the city has failed to find the money to relocate and develop a new park, it says.
It says the province as well as the city is responsible for the situation it finds itself in.
It notes that more then 2,200 players will be using the park's 14 diamonds in 2015, playing more then 500 games.
But next year is a different story.
"It's become very frustrating at this point and we're at a loss about what we're going to do in 2016," Pace spokesman Jim Fink said.
Officials with the city and province say they are still looking for a solution.
If none can be found, hundreds of baseball games will have to be cancelled.
