Highway webcams have popped up around Saskatchewan in recent years, and now a dozen new ones connected to the Regina bypass project are online.

The government says the $1.9 billion bypass is the biggest infrastructure project in Saskatchewan history.

It's designed to reduce congestion and improve safety by allowing truck traffic to move past the area without going into the city.

The first of the new webcams became public in June, but now there are 12 cameras covering sections near Balgonie, White City, and other areas.

Those who are keen to follow construction progress can check it outhere.

The camerasrefresh about every 10 minutes.
