Police charge 3 more suspects in Regina death

Three more men have been charged in connection with the April death of Daniel Richard Dipaolo in Regina, two of whom were already facing unrelated murder charges in Winnipeg.

Dipaolo, 51, was found dead in a home on the 700 block of Garnet Street on April 29.

Police laid a first-degree murder charge against Edward Genaille, 51, in early May, but at the time police said they did not believe he had acted alone.

Regina police say a joint investigation with Winnipeg homicide detectives led them to identify three more suspects in the case. Two were already in custody in Winnipeg on matters unrelated to the Dipaolo homicide, and were arrested and charged by Regina police.

Christopher Matthew Brass, 34, and Malcolm Mitchell, 25, both of Winnipeg, have been charged with first-degree murder. They will appear in provincial court in Regina via video link on Friday.

Brass and Mitchell are also facing murder charges in Winnipeg. Brass has been charged with second-degree murder in the death ofBryerPrysiazniuk-Setteeand manslaughter in the death ofJeanenneFontaine. Mitchell has been charged with second-degree murder in the death ofJeanenneFontaine.Prysiazniuk-Settee died in February; Fontaine was killed in March.

Police weren't able to locate the third suspect. They have obtained a Canada-wide warrant for the arrest of Johnathon Edward Kakewash, 31, who has also been charged with first-degree murder.
