Teen sent to hospital following 'serious assault', say Regina police

Police in Regina reported a "serious assault" on Saturday that resulted in a 17-year-old ending up in hospital. Police are now asking for help from anyone with security camera footage.

The Regina Police Servicesays a 17-year-old is inhospital after being found with a life-threatening injury early Saturday morning.

In a news release, police saidofficers were called tothe 2900 block of 5th Avenue shortly before 5:30 a.m. CST.

Police saidthe victim had a life-threatening injury and was transported to hospital, where they received treatment.

At last word, the teen was in stable condition.

Police are calling this a "serious assault" and are asking anyone with video surveillance to check for overnight activity that could help them in their investigation.
