People across the country are gathering this morning to honour veterans this Remembrance Day.

In Regina, an annual Remembrance Day ceremony will once again be held at the Brandt Centre. People are asked to be seated by 10 a.m. CST. The ceremony is expected to begin at 10:30 a.m.

The service includes a parade of veterans and a memorial service. Parking is free.

The event is an opportunity to pay your respects to all the people who served and were killed in the First World War, Second World War, the Korean War, and all peacekeeping missions since.

Another annual Remembrance Day ceremony will be held outside in Victoria Park. A memorial service and wreath laying will begin at the Cenotaph in the centre of the park at 11 a.m.

People are encouraged to arrive early as the event is always crowded. Parking is also free at all city meters.

Environment Canada is currently calling for a risk of freezing drizzle in the morning with highs around 3 C.

Following the services, the Royal Canadian Legion in Regina will host an open house at 1820 Cornwall St.where people will have an opportunity to meet veterans.
