A military pilot who flew from Regina to Moose Jaw recently had a nagging feeling that he had left a zip-up binder behind.

Worse, maybe he had left it on the runway.

So, on the afternoon of June 12, he called the tower to ask about it.

The aircraft rescue and fire fighting unit was sent onto the runway to retrieve it. They confirmed it was the binder.

There was no damage done and "no operational impact" according to a Transport Canada report on the incident released this week.

The military pilot was in one of two CT-155 Hawk aircraft making the trip the trip that day.

The Hawks are used by student pilots at the NATO flying training in Canada program at Moose Jaw's 15 Wing airbase.
