For the first time this season, Mosaic Stadium is sold out for a Saskatchewan Roughriders game.

The team announced tonight's game between the Riders and the Calgary Stampeders has reached its capacity of 33,427.

Despite it being the team's first sellout of the year, the team said it leads the league in average home attendance with more than 30,000 fans per game.

"Rider Nation continues to show their amazing support for this team and tonight's crowd is sure to provide a spark to our players," Riders president and CEO Craig Reynolds said in a news release. "Today's game is sure to include an atmosphere that Mosaic Stadium is known for and the reason it is the envy of the Canadian Football League."

The sellout announcement comes after a week of controversy in Riderville that included the team being fined $60,000 for roster violations.
