Police are paying close scrutiny to two rugs found with Monica Burns, whose body was discovered on a snowmobile trail north of Prince Albert early this month.

The RCMP said Wednesday they're seeking the public's help in finding out who owned the area rugs, or who might have disposed of two rugs.

Therugs are described as black, having a white, glued mesh-style backing. The original size was 5 by 8 feet (1.5 by 2.4 metres), but both were cut, apparently to fit into a particular space or room.

Investigators believe the rugs were bought in the past year.

Burns's body was found Jan. 17.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Prince Albert RCMP detachment at 306-765-5501 or you may call Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
