Brad Wall won't be wooed by latest attempt to recruit him to federal politics

As federal Conservatives gather in Vancouver for the party's convention, a group is apparently trying to draft Saskatchewan's Premier forthe leadership race.

Brad Wall says that is flattering, but he already has the job he wants.

"I don't have any interest in federal politics now or in the future," Wall told reporters after question period on Thursday morning.

"I enjoy doing the job thatI have right now and I just have no intention of pursuinganything else."

"I would share with them respectfully that they'd have to get in line because truly there is a 'draft Brad Wall to clean the bathrooms at home' movement that I'd have to respond to first," joked Wall."It's a fairly strongly-worded petition."

The group trying to change Wall's mind signs its letter only, "Concerned Middle-Class Canadians". It has a website and a Facebook page. It responded to CBC'srequest but did notsay who is behind the movement.

"We do not have a spokespersonat this time, however we would like to be referred to as a group of concerned middle-class Canadians and Conservative Party members from across Canada who are concerned about Canada's future,"

The anonymous group told CBC it believes, "Brad Wall is the best person to lead the Conservative Party of Canadabecause of his clear and consistent conservative record and optimistic message that will resonate with Canadians."
